Eucalyptus Leaves, ferns and Gum-nuts are used in this piece, in a mirror image with hand stitched edges using eucalyptus dyed wool.
Beautiful as a sacred altar piece, a table piece or to adorn a surface in a magically natural way.
Best kept out of direct sunlight as it will gradually fade.
My Altar cloths are made using rich Japanese wool felt, and a very simple pure botanical printing technique which extracts the true colours from the leaves onto the cloth using heat only. This is a beautiful, magical process which brings me so much joy to do.
